Meet Your Host
Kelly fell in love with Hattiesburg while a student at USM in the early 1980s. She talked about it so much that her mother once remarked, "I know, I know... EVERYTHING is better in Hattiesburg!" When her three children attended the University of Southern Mississippi, her passion for the town was reignited.
Her love for older homes, large yards, and wide streets with sidewalks inspired her to frequently browse the real estate market for fun.
In 2022, she received a blessing and was able to purchase a second home, a home-away-from-home, which she also intended to share with visitors.
Hosting guests quickly became another passion, perfectly complementing her love for older homes. By 2024, she had added two more homes, and "Stay in Hattiesburg" was born, launching her into the newest adventure of her life. You can learn more and follow all her new adventures by joining her blog.
Message from Kelly
Bob and I celebrated 36 years of marriage in 2024. We are both retired—Bob from defense finance and I from talk radio. We enjoy college sports, especially baseball, and recently purchased an RV, so travel is in our future!
All of our children are Southern Miss graduates. Our sons live and work in Hattiesburg, while our daughter and son-in-law are part of a USAF family with a toddler and a newborn!
My husband Bob and son Rob have joined me as cohosts and we all work together to provide you with the best stay possible.
